Adrian Rubin Scholarship

The Adrian Rubin Scholarship is open to high school seniors who plan to continue their education with high learning programs either at a college, trade school, or university. The only requirement to apply is a short, 500-word essay on “How do you think real estate investment trends will change over the next five years?”. Ag Day Essay Contest

Students across the country are invited to enter the National Ag Day essay (450 words or less) or video contest (2 minutes or less), sponsored by the Agriculture Council of America. This year's theme is, "Food brings everyone to the table." National Ag Day's objective is to celebrate agriculture and to help consumer better understand how farmers and the companies serving them produce abundant, healthy, nutritious and safe food that nourishes our families and consumers around the world. AWM (Association for Women in Mathematics) Essay Contest

The Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) and Math for America are co-sponsoring an essay contest for biographies of contemporary women mathematicians and statisticians in academic, industrial and government career. College Peas Student Standout College Scholarship

Grade: 12

Criteria: Intend to enroll full-time at a four-year college, have a minimum GPA of 2.0, Submit a short essay describing a special skill, talent or interest that helps you standout from your peers. Cancer for College Scholarship

Scholarship Value: $5,000

For students who personally have been diagnosed with cancer, are planning to attend an accredited college or university, located in the U.S. You must be planning to enroll in a degree earning program, not a certificate earning program, and attend school as a full time student.  Family income for the applicant must be no more than $150,000. A specific major is not required for this award, but the applicant should have above a 2.4 grade point average. Larry H. and Gail Miller Enrichment Scholarship (U of U)

LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Aviation Scholarship

LeRoy Homer was the first officer on United Airlines Flight 93, which was hijacked and crashed in Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001. The mission of the foundation is to continue LeRoy's love of flight be encouraging young men and women who wish to pursue aviation careers as professional pilots. The Foundation will award flight instruction scholarships to potential students for private pilot certification. Must be a U.S. citizen, be able to attain an FAA third-class medical certificate, and be willing to commit the necessary time required to complete the entire private pilot training program within a six month period. National MS Scholarship

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society Scholarship Program provides scholarships to high school students nationwide, including Utah and Idaho. Last year, 10 students from Utah and Idaho were awarded $23,500.

The guidelines for scholarships are: 1) Anyone with multiple sclerosis, or anyone who is the child of someone with multiple sclerosis, who will be attending an accredited post secondary school for the first time is eligible. 2) The scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $3,000, although a limited number of awards may exceed this amount. 3) Applicants will be reviewed by a national and a local selection committee. Union Plus Scholarship

This scholarship program is offered through the Union Plus Education Foundation. Current and retired members of participating unions, their spouses and their dependent children (as defined by IRS regulations) are eligible. Applicants are evaluated according to academic ability, social awareness, financial need and appreciation of labor.
