Avalon School of Cosmetology – Scholarship Opportunities for High School Seniors

Grade: 12

Deadline: 06-01-23

Two applicants from each location will receive $2,000 and six applicants per campus will each receive $500 toward their program fees. Avalon also offers financial aid in the form of grants and loans to students who qualify. Scholarship applicants are required to submit a written summary explaining their interest in the cosmetology program and career goals.

Each completed application will be judged on: cosmetology interest, letters of reference, potential in cosmetology, overall content of application, leadership skills, motivation and career goals. Ivey Engineering Scholarship

Research and compose an essay of 800 to 1,000 words on one of the following topics. 1. Ten ways to analyze and atest the integrity of a commercial HVAC design. 2. Five tips for designing an energy-efficient building. 3. How to investigate the caues and origin of a building structure fire. Students with full academic scholarships are not eligible. U-Dream Utah Undocumented Student Scholarship Fund

Educational Opportunities for Utah’s Children (Ed Opps) announces the U-Dream Scholarship Fund competition for graduate and undergraduate students enrolling at Utah Colleges or Universities during Spring Semester. The goal of the scholarship, funded by the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME) and private donations, is to provide financial assistance to promising low-income students of Mexican origin, with preference given to students who are currently undocumented.

The scholarship also seeks to support students who demonstrate a commitment to leadership or service that benefits the Mexican immigrant population. Scholarships will be awarded for up to $4,000 during the Spring Semester.  Critiera for the U-Dream Scholarship is: Financial need, preference given to students of Mexican origin, GPA of 3.0 or higher, Maintain 2.5 GPA or higher during the semester in which they hold the scholarship, enrolled at least 9 semester hours (for undergraduates) while receiving the award.
