Aerospace Heritage Foundation of Utah Scholarship- Internship

Grade: 12+

Scholarship Value: $1,500

Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or college student enrolled at a four-year university, two-year community college or tech school studying a field related to museum work. (Education, History, Sociology, etc). Funds will be paid directly to the student's academic account as a scholarship upon completioin of 200 hours of service at the museum. Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest

Create a 3 minute public service advertisement video (PSA) about how to drive courteously. Make sure it is geared towards your peers. Videos can be technical, narrative, documentary, fiction or any other video style you can think of. Video selfies will not be considered. Apprentice Ecologist Initiative Scholarship

Arthur M. & Berdena King Eagle Scout Contest

Grade: Registered Eagle Scouts

Scholarship Value: $1,000-$10,000

All Eagle Scouts registered in an active unit (under 19 years of age) interested in the American Revolution may apply.  There are three parts - The Eagle Scout contest application form, the four-generation ancestor chart, and a 500 word patriotic themed essay. This scholarship application is reviewed by the chapter SAR committee and a winner is chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship for Weber State University. This is a winner for the State of Utah and is sent to the National level. If the application wins on the National level there are three scholarships available. $4,000 for third place, $6,000 for second place and $10,000 for first place. American Quarter Horse Association Scholarship

Avacare Medical Scholarship

This program, funded through the Comcast Foundation, recognizes high school seniors from Comcast communities for their commitment to community service, academics, and demonstrated leadership. Getting Real About Distracted Driving Scholarship

Design an advertisement that will educate the public about the dangers of distracted driving and convince them with a clear call to action not to text and drive, drink and drive, eat and drive, or any other distraction you choose to focus on. Hispanic Heritage Youth Award

These awards honor Latino (includes Spain, Brazil, Phillipines) high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their excellence in various categories including: Business and Finances, Entrepreneurship, Education, Heathcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Sports and Technology. Military Child of the Year Award

This Award will go to a military child who has designed a bold and creative solution to address a local, regional, or global challenge. The winner will receive a $10,000 grant and Booz Allen Hamilton will host the recipient in their Innovation Center in Washington, DC

The SMART Scholarship for Service program will pay for all educational expenses for a B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. program, and then provide scholars unique opportunities to work as research scientists or engineers on cutting edge technology in world class Department of Defense facilities.

SMART scholars receive full tuition and educational fees, generous cash stipends ranging from $25,000 to $38,000 per year, paid summer internships, health insurance, and book allowances as well as employment with Department of Defense facilities after graduation. Students pursuing degrees in the following fields are encouraged to apply: Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering, Biosciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive, Neural and Behavioral Sciences, Computer and Computational Science, Electrical Engineering, Geosciences, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Information Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Oceanography, Operations Research and Physics. For students going into teaching. TH Bell recipients are required to pursue an educator preparation program, obtain educator licensing, and then teach in Utah public schools for a period equal to the time they received assistance. Scholarship priority: 1) first generation students who intend to work in any teaching field or licensure area; 2) students who are not first-generation , but intend to work in a teaching field or licensure area where there is high need; 3) other students who meet the requirements of the scholarship. United States Department of Agriculture 1890 National Scholars Scholarship

The goal of the USDA/1890 National Scholars Program is to increase the number of students studying agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, and other related disciplines. The program is open to high school seniors who exhibit exemplary leadership traits and demonstrate community service. The Scholarship is highly competitive and provides for full tuition payment, among other benefits, for up to 4-years to selected students enrolled or accepted for enrollment at an 1890 Land-Grant University.
