Bonneville High School played matches on Saturday, 11/15, against Viewmont and Layton. BHS went 4-0 against Viewmont and 2-2 against Layton, and then we won in a tiebreaker! Our Lakers played great. The squad is sitting in 4th place out of 8 teams in Region 1. After next week, they hope to move up as they play two of the lower-seeded teams.
Last weekend, they also had their first JV pickleball meet against Syracuse and Davis. BHS took 2nd place at the meet, but had the 1st place team overall that consisted of two 7th graders from TH Bell! It was awesome to see the little guys beating high school students!
In total, the team will play seven schools from the area in four weeks and then another seven after that. To start the season, Bonneville played West Field and Clearfield, and BHS swept the matches 8-0!
