April 15th has been designated as Purple Up Day this year. On this day, we hope our building is brimming with purple!

Each April, the Defense Department joins with state and local government, schools, companies, and organizations to celebrate the more than 1.6 million military children who are stationed with their loved ones throughout the world. As we have in past years, we are joining that celebration as we recognize the over 1,800 military- connected students in Weber School District. Throughout April, we invite you, our faculty, and students to wear purple in our building to celebrate our military-connected families.

As a special quick shoutout, Bonneville High School recently earned the distinction as a Purple Star School. In March, Principal Rich Murray sent an email to staff, saying, "It is with great excitement and appreciation that I would like to let everyone know that Bonneville High School has received the Purple Star School designation. Although he may not want any recognition, Preston Warren (English teacher) has gone above and beyond to make sure Bonneville was recognized." Many faculty and staff members responded with gratitude, some even sharing their own experiences transitioning through school as a child with military parents.

At Bonneville High School, we honor and celebrate the members of our armed forces and their families. Thank you for your dedication and service to our country! Welcome to our school and our community! We are honored to serve your families, and hope that the resources here prove useful in helping you become a part of our community.

Members of various clubs and organizations at Bonneville unfurl the large flag on the football field as the school choir sings the National Anthem.
